Kyrillus Shohdy is awarded the Conquer Cancer Foundation of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)

The Conquer Cancer Foundation of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) today announced the recipient of its 2019 Long-term International Fellowship (LIFe) award which provides early-career oncologists from developing countries with a $115,000 grant for a one-year fellowship in the United States. The recipients receive valuable training and experience to effect change in cancer care in their home country.

The 2019 recipient is Kyrillus S. Shohdy. Kyrillus is a an oncology resident at Cairo university. He will be spending a year in the Faltas Lab to study the role of FGFR and cell cycle genomic alterations in urothelial carcinoma (UC) in dertemining response to combined FGFR- and CDK4/6-inhibition.
