The Faltas lab has published “The Cytidine Deaminase APOOBEC3G Contributes to Cancer Mutagenesis and Clonal Evolution in Bladder Cancer” in Cancer Research. This paper focuses on investigating the role of APOBEC3G in bladder cancer. The findings revealed that the transgenic expression of A3G in a murine bladder cancer model promotes tumorigenesis and induces unique mutational signatures that are different from any of the previously identified APOBEC signatures.
